there are 14 generations from Abraham to David, 14 generations from David to the Exile, and 14 generations from the Exile, how come the moshiach did not come at that time?

I don't know, but if I could recommend a sefer which has many gematrias and other fascinating Torah insights, I would suggest the Baal HaTurim.
